Before leaving for CMJ last week, I was invited to the Chicago Innovation Awards ceremony. As most of you know, ArtistData was a finalist for the innovation awards, so I was happy to be invited to the ceremony. By the end of the night, ArtistData had been awarded a Chicago Innovations People's Choice Award!

This is a huge accomplishment for one reason: the award is about you guys, our users. It was your amazing feedback and support that won ArtistData this award. It is your constant feedback and ideas that help ArtistData continue to innovate and bring great products to market. It is YOU that inspires us to keep working, keep pushing, and keep making musicians' lives easier and careers more manageable.

This award isn't for ArtistData. It's for the incredible community of music creators and supporters who use ArtistData. So thank you for and congratulations on being a part of this great accomplishment! As I've said many times before, you guys rock. Let's go do a lot more!

ArtistData has finally delivered what so many independent (and major label) artists have been seeking since the advent of the MySpace phenomenon. Their service keeps your artists totally connected to all of the major social networking sites and connects you to local media and services along the road. I have seen countless other companies try to accomplish this but none who hit all the marks across the board while maintaining the most important mark of all: ease of use. No where else on the Internet can you so simply enter your show data into one clearinghouse location that then connects with your other favorite sites - using that site's language and style. That service alone has saved me hours and hours of typing, clicking, and rehashing the same information over and over again. I cannot say this enough... ArtistData is the best solution for any artist, label, management, or otherwise who are looking to save themselves time and expand their online presence and for this, they should most definitely win this award.

This is a great internet service. It's allowed me to do easily one major thing I could not, or did not, do before: enter my touring schedule in one place and have it update my Myspace and Facebook pages and update music calendar sites across the internet. The Artistdata folks recognize and tell us what they can't do yet - interact seamlessly with the musician sites, RevebNation and SonicBids, for instance - and give us tools to get around those companies so-far uncooperative attitudes. ArtistData has finally delivered what so many independent (and major label) artists have been seeking since the advent of the MySpace phenomenon. Their service keeps your artists totally connected to all of the major social networking sites and connects you to local media and services along the road. I have seen countless other companies try to accomplish this but none who hit all the marks across the board while maintaining the most important mark of all: ease of use. No where else on the Internet can you so simply enter your show data into one clearinghouse location that then connects with your other favorite sites - using that site's language and style. That service alone has saved me hours and hours of typing, clicking, and rehashing the same information over and over again. I cannot say this enough... ArtistData is the best solution for any artist, label, management, or otherwise who are looking to save themselves time and expand their online presence and for this, they should most definitely win this award.
